The East River Waterfront
The Williamsburg waterfront — from Domino Park down to East River State Park — offers something that almost nowhere else in Brooklyn has: the Manhattan skyline directly across the water, framed by open space and modern park design. Golden hour sessions here, when the sun sets behind Manhattan and the light catches the river surface and the glass buildings on the skyline, are consistently among the most dramatic maternity images we make in the borough.
East River State Park, slightly north of Domino, has open lawn, the original factory building overhead, and a view that captures the particular mix of industrial history and contemporary Williamsburg that defines the neighborhood.
Domino Park
Domino Park's design — the preserved machinery of the old Domino Sugar refinery alongside modern landscape — is one of the most visually interesting backdrops in all of Brooklyn. The combination of industrial scale and intimate park details creates images that feel specifically Williamsburg in a way that no generic park setting can.
