Newborn Photographer on the Upper East Side, Manhattan

The Upper East Side is home to some of Manhattan's most beautiful residential spaces — prewar co-ops with original architectural detail, high-rise apartments with exceptional light, townhouses on the quieter blocks east of Park Avenue.

We photograph newborn sessions in all of them. We come to you.

In-Home Newborn Photography on the Upper East Side

We bring professional studio lighting and a complete newborn setup directly to your UES apartment or townhouse. You don't travel anywhere in the first two weeks of your baby's life. We come to you — with everything.

What arrives at your door:

  • Professional lighting equipment: the same continuous and strobe setups used in a dedicated newborn studio

  • Complete posing setup: beanbag, posing pillow, wraps, fabrics, blankets in neutral tones

  • A full prop collection: wooden bowls, baskets, texture elements

  • Every hat, wrap, and accessory your baby needs — you provide nothing

We set up in a room of your choosing, transform it into a working studio, and break everything down completely when we leave.

Why the Upper East Side Is Beautiful for Newborn Photography

Prewar window light. The large casement windows in UES prewar buildings — especially on floors 3 and above — produce a quality of natural light that is difficult to replicate. Morning light on east-facing apartments, afternoon light on west-facing ones — both are extraordinary for newborn work.

Serene residential streets. The quieter blocks between Lexington and the East River, in Yorkville and Carnegie Hill, have a calm that the rest of Manhattan doesn't. That quiet is in your images.

Classic interior architecture. Herringbone floors. Crown moldings. Thick plaster walls. The specific texture of a well-maintained prewar apartment. These details give your images a sense of permanence and quality that bare modern spaces don't.

Proximity to NYC's Top Hospitals

The Upper East Side is adjacent to some of New York City's most prestigious delivery hospitals:

  • NYU Langone — East 42nd and York

  • Lenox Hill Hospital — East 77th and Park Avenue

  • NY-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell — East 68th and York

Many of our UES newborn clients also book our Fresh48 hospital sessions at these facilities — the same photographer who documents your baby's first hours at Lenox Hill comes to your apartment 7 to 10 days later for the newborn session. The continuity is something families consistently describe as one of the most meaningful aspects of their experience.

Session Structure

Studio portraits (60–90 min): Professional lighting, posed newborn images. Clean, timeless portraits for the wall and the album.

Family portraits (30 min): You, your partner, your baby — photographed with proper light in your home.

Lifestyle documentation (60–90 min): We put the equipment aside. Morning light, your coffee, your baby against your chest, your older child meeting the baby, the way your apartment feels with a new life in it.

Details (20 min): The hospital bracelet. The first onesie. The nursery you prepared.
