YourCherish ("we", "us") is a small birth photography and doula studio based in New York City. This page explains what information we collect when you contact or work with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short on purpose; if anything is unclear, write to us at love@yourcherish.com.
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site, a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, or write, call or message us, we receive what you choose to share: usually your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, your expected delivery month and the hospital or birth center you plan to deliver at. If you book a session, we also collect what is needed to deliver it: your address or hospital room details, your contract and your payment, which is handled by our payment processor and never stored by us.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar tools (through Squarespace, Google Analytics and the Meta pixel) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising. This includes your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived here. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
Photographs. Photographs from your session are governed by your photography contract, not this policy. We never publish or use images of you or your baby for marketing without your separate written permission, and you can withdraw that permission at any time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing.
Only the people and services needed to run the studio: our website host (Squarespace), the tools we use for scheduling, contracts, invoices and galleries, our payment processor, our email provider, and the advertising platforms (Meta, Google) that pass your lead-form answers to us. Each of these sees only what it needs to do its job. We may also share information when the law requires it.
We keep inquiry details for about two years so we can follow up if your plans change, and client records for as long as needed for our contract, tax and insurance obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below), and we will unless we are required to keep it.
Our work involves photographing newborns and children, always with a parent or guardian present and with their consent under a signed contract. This website and our forms are intended for adults; we do not knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 18.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here.
