Fresh48 at Mount Sinai East

Mount Sinai East sits at 100th Street on the Upper East Side, and for families who live in that neighborhood, it's the natural choice. The postpartum rooms vary in size and light, but we've photographed enough sessions there to know which windows work at which hours and how to make the most of the space regardless.

Mount Sinai East has one of the stronger VBAC programs in the city and a midwifery presence that creates a culture genuinely supportive of natural birth preferences. If you're delivering there, your care team is likely already comfortable with doulas and photographers in the room — which matters.

Fresh48 at Mount Sinai West

Mount Sinai West — formerly St. Luke's Roosevelt — sits at 59th Street on the Upper West Side, one block from Columbus Circle. The labor and delivery culture here has a reputation as one of the most family-centered in Manhattan, with a strong midwifery program and a general atmosphere that welcomes birth support professionals.

For Upper West Side families, Mount Sinai West is often the default — and the surrounding neighborhood makes for beautiful in-home newborn sessions afterward, whether you're in a pre-war apartment on Riverside Drive or a townhouse in the 70s.

How Fresh48 Booking Works

You book before your due date. We have a prenatal conversation, confirm your hospital and the logistics, and put you on our on-call list from 37 weeks. When the baby arrives, you message us. We come.

The session runs 1.5 to 2 hours. You receive 60 to 100 fully edited images. The first feeding, the first family portrait, the tiny hands at 6 hours old — these are the images that won't exist anywhere else.

In-Home Newborn Sessions Near Mount Sinai

After your hospital stay, the next step is an in-home newborn session — typically scheduled for days 5 to 14, when the baby is at peak sleepiness. We travel to your apartment anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn, NJ, or CT.

Upper East Side and Upper West Side apartments are some of our favorite in-home settings — the light in a pre-war apartment on a clear morning, the specific warmth of a New York living room in those first weeks.
