Births happen in the Karen and Gary Singer Family Birth Place: eight labor and delivery rooms with private bathrooms and in-room music, two dedicated cesarean operating rooms, and hydrotherapy tubs for labor support. Afterward you move to the Mother/Baby Unit, which has 21 private rooms and 3 semi-private rooms. The Gordon Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has neonatologists on site, and New Jersey designates the hospital an Intensive-level perinatal center. U.S. News & World Report has rated Englewood High Performing for Maternity Care for five years running.
Englewood's published policy allows up to two designated support persons with a laboring patient, and it counts a doula or a grandparent among them — so you can have your partner and your doula with you. We confirm the current rules with your care team before your due date.
