Jersey City Medical Center is a New Jersey Regional Perinatal Center with a Level III NICU and a neonatologist on site around the clock, so it cares for high-risk pregnancies as well as routine births, and faculty midwives practice alongside the obstetricians. The hospital earned Baby-Friendly designation in 2024 and U.S. News & World Report rated it High Performing for Maternity Care in its 2026 rankings.
The hospital's maternity FAQ confirms that you may bring a doula, and it also offers a free doula program of its own. Its published policy names one support person of your choice during labor, so we confirm with your care team ahead of time how a doula is counted, and we make sure both your partner and your doula can be with you.
