Delivering at Mount Sinai West — What to Know
Mount Sinai West offers a wide range of pain-relief options, including nitrous oxide, and wireless monitoring for low-risk labors. It is home to Mount Sinai West Midwifery Services (certified nurse-midwives) alongside its obstetric practices, and its Level III NICU on the 11th floor means a baby who needs extra care stays in the same building. New York State designates it a Level 3 Perinatal Center.
The hospital says it welcomes your doula in the birth room, and your support person can stay with you through labor, delivery and postpartum, including overnight. We confirm the current support-person rules with your care team before your due date.
