Birth Doula Support at NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens, Jamaica
Queens Hospital Center at 82-68 164th Street is the public hospital for Jamaica, Hollis, St. Albans and central and southeastern Queens. It was one of the first hospitals in New York City to earn Baby-Friendly designation, back in 2014, and has delivered on the order of 1,800 babies a year.
YourCherish provides certified birth doula support for families delivering at Queens Hospital Center. Multilingual. Culturally responsive. Completely present.
Delivering at Queens Hospital Center — What to Know
Queens Hospital Center is part of NYC Health + Hospitals, with Labor and Delivery, an antepartum testing unit, a postpartum unit and a NICU on site, and it treats every patient regardless of ability to pay.
The hospital earned Baby-Friendly designation in 2014 and was re-designated in 2025, so rooming-in and early feeding are the norm. It also offers free doula services to its own patients through the hospital's culturally responsive doula program.
A YourCherish doula adds continuous one-to-one support from early labor at home through your first postpartum hour, in your own language, and coordinates with any hospital doula on your team. Support-person rules can change, so we confirm them before your due date.
YourCherish provides doula support in English, Russian, and Spanish — ensuring full communication and advocacy regardless of your primary language.

Birth photography by your doula. The same person supporting you through labor at Queens Hospital Center quietly documents your labor and your baby's first moments, without adding another person to the room.
Fresh48 in your postpartum room. Soft, unposed photos of your first days together, taken at Queens Hospital Center before you go home. See Fresh48 at Queens Hospital Center →
Maternity session at home or outdoors. At 32–36 weeks, in your home or Cunningham Park or Kissena Park, a few minutes from the hospital.
Hospital photo and video rules can change, so we confirm them with your care team before your birth, and we always pause when staff ask us to. See the doula + photography packages →
