After delivery you recover in a private, newly renovated postpartum suite at no additional cost, with a sleeper bed for your partner. A vaginal birth usually means about two nights in the hospital and a cesarean about three, which shapes how we plan your postpartum support and Fresh48 timing.
NYP Queens has a Level III NICU and a maternal-fetal medicine team for high-risk pregnancies, including the Institute for Placental Medicine, a regional referral center. The hospital is certified Baby-Friendly, and rooming-in is the norm.
NYP Queens' posted policy allows one adult at the bedside in the labor room, and the hospital lists doulas within that category.
