Fresh48 Photography at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, Flushing

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens at 56-45 Main Street in Flushing serves families from Flushing, Bayside, Fresh Meadows and across central and eastern Queens. Its private postpartum suites make it one of the easiest places in the borough to photograph a quiet, unhurried Fresh48 session.

A Fresh48 session is a relaxed, documentary photo session in your postpartum room during your baby's first hours or days. If you're delivering at NYP Queens, here is what a Fresh48 session with YourCherish looks like.

What a Fresh48 Session at NYP Queens Looks Like

After your delivery, once you've been moved to your postpartum room and had time to settle, you let us know you're ready.

We arrive at NYP Queens, find you, and we begin.

There is no instruction. No setup. No request for you to perform or prepare anything. We move quietly through your room for 1.5 to 2.5 hours, documenting what is already happening: the way your baby looks in those first hours, the way you look at them, the first feeds, the first holds, the first quiet.

Your gallery arrives within 5 to 7 business days, with 10 to 30 fully edited images.

About NYP Queens

After delivery you recover in a private, newly renovated postpartum suite at no additional cost, with a sleeper bed for your partner. That private room is exactly where your Fresh48 session happens, usually on your second day.

NYP Queens has a Level III NICU and a maternal-fetal medicine team, including the Institute for Placental Medicine, a regional referral center. We adapt the session to whatever your first days look like, including time in the NICU when staff allow it.

The hospital is certified Baby-Friendly, so rooming-in and early feeding are the norm. A vaginal birth usually means about two nights in the hospital and a cesarean about three, so we plan your session timing around your expected stay.

Fresh48 After a C-Section at NYP Queens

We photograph Fresh48 sessions after cesarean births too. Once you're moved from recovery to your postpartum room and feel settled, you reach out to us. We arrive and photograph your first hours in the room at your pace.

What Families Delivering at NYP Queens Often Ask

Can a photographer visit the postpartum floor at NYP Queens? Most hospitals allow a photographer to visit a patient's room with the patient's approval, but visitor rules can change. We check NYP Queens's current visitor policy with you before your due date and always follow staff guidance on the day.

How do I add the photographer as a visitor? Mention at admission that you have a photographer booked for a postpartum session. Your nurse can tell you the current process, and we can help you with what to say.

What if I'm in a semi-private room? Postpartum suites at NYP Queens are private, so you will have your own space for the session. We still work quietly and keep our footprint small.

What if my baby arrives earlier than expected? From the moment you're booked, we're on call. When your baby arrives, you reach out when you're ready and we come.

What if I don't feel photogenic after delivery? Almost every client has this thought. The way you look right after having a baby is not something to apologize for. It is something to keep.
