The Valley Hospital moved into a brand-new building at 4 Valley Health Plaza in Paramus in April 2024, and every patient room there is private. Its Center for Childbirth delivers more than 3,000 babies a year for families across Bergen County — Paramus, Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes, Fair Lawn, Oradell and beyond.

Delivering at Valley — What to Know
The Center for Childbirth has 14 labor, delivery and recovery (LDR) rooms — two of them with jetted tubs, plus a hydrotherapy tub for labor — and 42 private postpartum rooms across two floors. Valley Health System runs its own Midwifery Program with certified nurse-midwives, and the hospital's Level 3 NICU has private single-patient rooms, so a baby who needs extra care stays close by. New Jersey designates Valley an Intensive-level perinatal center, and the hospital has held Magnet nursing recognition since 2003.
Valley welcomes birth coaches and doulas at the birth and asks that you let them know in advance that you are working with one; we take care of that with you. We confirm the current support-person rules with your care team before your due date.

Maternity session at home or outdoors. At 32–36 weeks, in your home or outdoors at Van Saun County Park, five minutes from the hospital, or along the Saddle River County Park paths in Ridgewood.
