After your delivery, once you've been moved to your postpartum room and had time to settle, you let us know you're ready.
We arrive at Jacobi, find you, and we begin.
There is no instruction. No setup. No request for you to perform or prepare anything. We move quietly through your room for 1.5 to 2.5 hours, documenting what is already happening: the way your baby looks in those first hours, the way you look at them, the first feeds, the first holds, the first quiet.
Your gallery arrives within 5 to 7 business days, with 10 to 30 fully edited images.
About Jacobi
Jacobi is part of NYC Health + Hospitals, with its own Midwifery Practice, maternity suites and a NICU on site. We adapt the session to whatever your first days look like, including time in the NICU when staff allow it.
The hospital is designated Baby-Friendly and practices 24-hour rooming-in, with special visiting hours for siblings, so big brothers and sisters can be part of the session. That is exactly what a Fresh48 session documents: your baby in your arms, in your room, in those first hours.
In 2026 Jacobi became one of the first hospitals in New York City certified as a Doula-Friendly Hospital. Visitor rules for the postpartum floor can change, so we confirm the current policy with you before your due date and always follow staff guidance on the day.
