What a Fresh48 Session at Lincoln Looks Like
After your delivery, once you've been moved to your postpartum room and had time to settle, you let us know you're ready.
We arrive at Lincoln, find you, and we begin.
There is no instruction. No setup. No request for you to perform or prepare anything. We move quietly through your room for 1.5 to 2.5 hours, documenting what is already happening: the way your baby looks in those first hours, the way you look at them, the first feeds, the first holds, the first quiet.
Your gallery arrives within 5 to 7 business days, with 10 to 30 fully edited images.
About Lincoln
Lincoln delivers in private, family-friendly labor rooms, and after birth you room in with your baby in postpartum rooms with a soaking tub and spacious showers. A Level 3 nursery lets premature babies stay close to their mothers, and we adapt the session to whatever your first days look like, including time in the nursery when staff allow it.
The hospital is designated Baby-Friendly and a Safe Sleep Champion, so rooming-in and early feeding are the norm. That is exactly what a Fresh48 session documents: your baby in your arms, in your room, in those first hours.
Lincoln offers classes in Spanish and English and in 2026 became one of the first hospitals in New York City certified as a Doula-Friendly Hospital. Visitor rules for the postpartum floor can change, so we confirm the current policy with you before your due date and always follow staff guidance on the day.

What if I'm in a semi-private room? Lincoln has both single and double postpartum rooms. We have made beautiful images in shared rooms and know how to create intimate, private-feeling photographs in any space.
What if my baby arrives earlier than expected? From the moment you're booked, we're on call. When your baby arrives, you reach out when you're ready and we come.
What if I don't feel photogenic after delivery? Almost every client has this thought. The way you look right after having a baby is not something to apologize for. It is something to keep.
