About Jamaica Hospital
Jamaica Hospital delivers in private LDR suites with midwives and obstetricians on staff, and has a 19-bed Level III NICU on site. We adapt the session to whatever your first days look like, including time in the NICU when staff allow it.
The hospital has held Baby-Friendly designation since 2017 and was re-designated in 2023, so rooming-in and early feeding are the norm. That is exactly what a Fresh48 session documents: your baby in your arms, in your room, in those first hours.
On the Mother-Baby Unit, one partner or support person can stay overnight. Daytime visitor rules can change, so we confirm the current policy with you before your due date and always follow staff guidance on the day.
